Success: An Emptiness For Success

Most of us are conditioned to think that success is about gaining wealth, power, knowledge, money or something that we’re striving. Essentially our conditioned mind defines success through accumulation. But, once there is a clearing on the definition of success, and when one realises that success is not about accumulation, suddenly a void is created.

In yesterday’s read, we see that success is in the ongoing process and not is not about reaching a destination. And that the process is strived upon with intention. When the process is done with an intention, one is able to discover themselves, success is about this self-discovery.

…success is in the ongoing process… …When the process is done with an intention, one is able to discover themselves, success is about this self-discovery.

Many times when a clearing happens, one consciously has to keep the conditioned definitions of success at bay for the true self-discovery to happen. And, for that being in emptiness is a good start.

When Gandhiji proposed the idea of freedom through non-violence, he truly had to be in an empty space to discover that for himself. And from that context, success was not about (just) achieving freedom, success was in enrolling people into the idea of freedom through non-violence. Eventually achieving freedom was a result of this success.
