We try to always manage many things - money, time, relations, friendships, career, profession, work, ethics and the list is endless. Let us relook at this paradigm of management. If we observe carefully, we can see that we're managing things which are beyond our control. These things are controlled by many external factors beyond our control. In a new paradigm, what if we shift our focus from managing these several many factors and bring it only on managing self?
In managing self, one simply needs control on oneself. And, this self is totally in our own control. It just that when we shift our focus on many external parameters it appears as if we are not in control, and that is a myth! Only by learning to manage oneself, one can bring clarity in the way they're conducting and performing. There lies a tremendous possibility in managing oneself.
There lies a tremendous possibility in managing oneself.
This does not mean that one stops managing other things that they have been. It simply means that our perspective in looking at these other things alters, and therefore, we start managing them differently. Our viewpoint shifts. We start putting things in the right context and there is a general sense of awareness and presence towards the things we're involved in.
It takes a bit of practice to experience (not understand) this new paradigm. But, once we experience a sense of managing or conducting self in the context of many seemingly affecting factors, our 'way of being' alters.
