We reach out to something that we crave. If we can't reach out, we at least strive towards it or are drawn towards it. The assumption being that if we satisfy that craving we would feel satisfied. But, we all know that it is seldom the case!
In our previous posts, we have seen an alternative way to look at craving by taking a pause and looking at a possibility to evolve into a well rounded human being by taking a pause.
But when we pause, it is not from a point to suppress one's craving or definitely from not labelling it as a bad or a negative thing. This pause offers us a chance to create something new. A new mindset, a new temperament, a new ability to respond cognitively and with awareness rather than a mindless being reacting towards the craving instantly.
That excess fat around the belly, that never-ending run for earning more money, that lack of emotions while assaulting a teenager, that act of stealing valuables, the act of fighting for 'my' righteousness - all have one thing in common. The animalistic behaviour that sprouts out of our own craving.
A pause is a possibility to create anew from this moment of crisis within. A simple enquire towards our fluttering mind in the fleeting moment and looking within offers us a chance to create a world beyond the realm of our own craving.
