We all are searching for a meaning in life – whether we say it or not, we are constantly finding and defining/ redefining our purpose of life. But is there really a great meaning? In being in discipline we try to align our energies, orienting them towards our defined purposes. We might be doing so by taking out a specific time slot in the morning for health and fitness or maybe mindful meditation, it might be for a dedicated hour to study a particular subject or a craft, it might even be an office work or simply the act of cleaning our own desk before starting the day. All these acts are certainly the acts of discipline. But once the realisation of the meaning of discipline occurs, a creation of a whole new world happens.
As we have seen in the clearing part that DISCIPLINE is not about correcting a behaviour or bringing order but an act of simply being consistent. An act where we always show-up in the manner we have said so. In this altered meaning of discipline, a new life emerges – a new life where the internal state is of:
Being complete over being fearful
Being free as opposed to stuck in a compulsive behaviour
Of Experiencing Wholeness versus trying to attempt to reach a goal
In the new creation of discipline, while the actions are the same, internally one finds their true expression. There is freedom.
