Discovering Treasure

We, especially as grown-ups, are constantly struggling to make our life comfortable. No matter rich or poor, educated or illiterate, silicon valley dweller or a villager, regardless of whatever we have and are, we never seem to be satisfied. The struggle is on. Seeking comfort, therefore, is in the acknowledgement of what we have rather than striving towards what we don't have.

It is not about letting go of our desires and ambitions. While we strive for that with a certain intention and intensity, simply being aware of what we have allows us for access to being comfortable. The definition of comfort is in our head anyway. In the acknowledgement of what we have right now and being comfortable with that, rather than a resistance to that, there is an experience of being happy. In this experience, the world around pauses. There is slowness.

In the acknowledgement of what we have right now and being comfortable with that, rather than a resistance to that, there is an experience of being happy.
