Happy New Year. New year, new resolutions. So many new things to do. Some in personal life, some in professional. There is a Gym membership, the new diet plan, the productivity improvement system, the latest note-taking app, the new skill-building courses signed-up. Where to start and how to do. This year, let's go with the brand line of Nike. "Just Do It".
Choose a few critical areas. Let's call them the big rocks of life. The foundation on which the quality of our life depends. It can be areas like Health, Relationships, Finance, Growth etc. Now, instead of having 10 different things, let's choose only top three big rocks. For each of the big rock (say Health) we can create a SMART goal. A Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound Goal. Here again, let's have a few effective measures. Once the Goals are set, the next step would be to ensure that there is an action plan to support these goals. This action plan must be pragmatic and should fit in the daily schedule in a seamless way. None of this should be a burden, and it shouldn't become a thing which can work only for a short duration. It has to be aligned with something you would love to do and continue innovating with newer ways of doing it.

Then comes the action time. When that alarm rings, there can be a hundred reasons not to wake up. You may not feel going for that walk or doing that yoga session. But, the one and only one mantra for this year is "Just Do It". So, just do it.
