Me and a friend of mine, both started learning bicycle on the same day. It was the afternoon on the day we had finished our grade 3 final exams. The plan was to learn and play with our bicycles for the rest of the summer break. We started together, but not learnt together. It took 3 days for my friend to learn, on the fourth day he becomes my self-appointed motivational coach. The one thing which you can definitely learn from a motivational coach is, 'How to be a motivational coach'. To ride a bicycle, you need balance though.
Every time you start, you keep falling and failing till one day accidentally you don't fall. That is when you get balance.
What preparation do you need if you want to learn a bicycle? According to me, you should keep a first-aid box ready. That's it. There are no thumb-rules, no models or flowcharts, there isn't any paly-book or YouTube video to learn a bicycle. Every time you start, you keep falling and failing till one day accidentally you don't fall. That is when you get balance. For my friend that accident happened on the third day. He got balance. Other than that accident, all other things we did were similar. We started on the same day, same time every day, same place and because it took time for me, you may not agree but we put the same amount of effort in learning too.
Why did my friend get balance earlier than me? We both did take risks, but he got lucky.
