Life is a Game

Life is a game. And all the games have an element of luck. Sometimes, that becomes the deciding factor. So what it means is, you still need to have talent. You have to know the rules of the game well. You cannot ignore the practice. Temperament, consistency, strategy, planning, hard work, smart work and teamwork etc are all needed. Yet, if it's not your day, you may still lose. If it is your day, even though some of the things are missing, you may still win. That is how the luck factor plays its game. You cannot count it to be with you but you cannot afford if it is against. Luck thus, as they say, is a meeting point of preparation with passing by opportunity.

As a child, every time I threw the dice, I expected 'six' to show-up. That is not important, what is important is even though 'six' didn't show up for a long time, still I never stopped playing. No one stops playing irrespective of what shows-up on the dice. Do you know why?

It's the possibility of Hope.

Pandora's box is an artefact in Greek mythology connected with the myth of Pandora in Hesiod's "Works and days". According to Hesiod, when Prometheus stole fire from heaven, Zeus, the king of the gods, took vengeance by presenting Pandora to Prometheus' brother Epimetheus. Pandora opened a jar left in her care containing sickness, death and many other unspecified evils which were then released into the world. Though she hastened to close the container, only one thing was left behind and that was 'Hope'.

Though she hastened to close the container, only one thing was left behind and that was 'Hope'.
