Once the emotions and feelings are captured at the start of the day and the day's intention is created, as explained in yesterday's post, I move to the most important thing of the day.
It is based on what I want to get accomplished on that day. There might be many important things and should be completed, but I focus only on one thing to be mentioned in this section. That doesn't mean I do not complete the others, but this is like a non-negotiable activity. My criterion for choosing this activity is based on two things, its relevance and its level of challenge. I choose that activity highest in both these categories—something that is very important to be completed and is the most challenging thing of that day.
If I look at the track of all such "Most Important Thing" activities, it gives me immense satisfaction to know that even though I accomplished only one task, I have achieved 30 such important tasks in a span of a month. The short-term effect may seem small, but the impact is exponential in the long run. Try it for yourself.
