Let us look at some of the small steps we can take towards touching our inner peace.
Step 1 Find the "me" time
Get time (early morning or late evenings) for yourself. Do whatever you love to do. It can be for a short duration but with complete attention and engagement. Some of the examples could be: listening to music, reading, sketching, cooking, painting, poetry, watching a movie, watering plants or simply being with yourself.
Step 2 Moderate smartphone and social media time
Use settings in your phone to stop all notifications. If not all , then at least those from social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, twitter etc. Use the 'airplane' mode at least once in a day. For 20-30 mins.
Step 3 Observe and identify the triggers which take your peace away. It can be words, actions or behaviours from people in your life.
Step 4 Practice mindfulness and meditation
Step 5 Don't take yourself very seriously. Take it light.
