"How do you do that?" This is the summary of many similar questions, queries and requests I hear from my friends and relatives when it comes to a sudden shift in my lifestyle. Many of them give credit to my willpower, desire and strong control over my mind and thoughts. None of which is correct though. I have not measured my willpower but I can tell you honestly that it is below average. Neither do I have any power to control my thoughts and mind. As a matter of fact, I don't see any need to control thoughts or rather I see freedom in letting them free. The idea of controlling one's thoughts in itself is a thought which one should first let loose. The assumptions get different analysis especially when it comes to addiction to alcohol and tobacco. People have lots of ideas and techniques and they want me to confirm which one I used. Forget about what others wanted to know, do I myself know what happened ? and that was a more important question to me. It's not only about the discontinuation and detachment of old thoughts and habits, but it is also the fresh, new vision towards life that manifests. So exploring that "transformation" becomes critical. It is the freedom from attachments, thoughts, habits, and whatever I knew about it. Death of all that I knew and the birth of an unknown, unexplored life. It is the voluntary death of a being (not suicide in any manner) that brings transfiguration or whatever else you want to call it.
