Safety Harness

When a mountaineer is climbing up a peak you can observe she/ he does two things. One, wearing appropriate gears that are apt for the climate, type of mountain range and adequate for their own safety. Two, every time they reach or complete a certain elevation they hook themselves into a safety harness and then they continue to climb. Both these acts make their experience of reaching the peak safe and it makes them comfortable both mentally and physically.

Often when we get comfortable with something or someone, we take it for granted and without realising we stop working on it and soon we become lethargic.

A mountaineer uses this sense of comfort to elevate above from where she /he is. Often when we get comfortable with something or someone, we take it for granted and without realising we stop working on it and soon we become lethargic. But like a mountaineer, if we use our own comfort as a leverage to elevate ourselves from where we are then something new, unknown and exciting gets created. Comfort is not a point to stagnate upon, rather it can be used to catapult ourselves into elevating and growing further.
