Recently a friend asked this on Twitter, “How to get rid of the Existential Dread ?”.
The answers started from meditation, spiritual activities, volunteering, reading etc. Some said to simply face it and the formulate. How many of these are correct answers? My typical stand on such a question is to say “for each it’s own”. Or to say” horses for courses “.
This is a very simplistic way of looking at this complicated topic. In reality, the question cannot be answered by someone else. One has to deal with it oneself and all the great escape techniques coming from others may be of no help at all. The solutions are for a problem that doesn’t lie in the domain of those solutions and techniques. Using metaphors and analogies is an oversimplified way to solve something which we can’t.
This, there is no great escape. There is no technique or hack to solve the question which is beyond the realm of these escapes.
