"What cannot be measured, cannot be improved"
This statement is true, technically. The question then is, if a person who used to smoke 20 cigarettes a day is now smoking only 10, is that an improvement? Technically again, yes. The answer to these questions is thus not in the domain of right and wrong, not in good or bad.
But exactly in the same way, the methods and approaches used for improvements are also normally judged by people in two typical categories namely , 'it works' and 'it doesn't work'. This diet plan is great, it works. This type of meditation is not effective, it doesn't work. That Guru is fantastic, this training program is life altering, so it works. Oh, that book, it changed my life, it works. Don't go for power yoga, it doesn't work. These are just some examples. The list is endless and every item on the list has a label if it works or not.
The 'mantra' is, it all works, only if YOU make it work. It doesn't work on itself.
Let us explore the reality behind it. What works and what doesn't. Don't worry, we are not going to go thorough all the items of the list, as I already said its endless. The 'mantra' is, it all works, only if YOU make it work. It doesn't work on itself. Yoga, aerobics, walking gym all work for fitness. Meditation practice of any type, with or without a mobile app or a fancy gadget or a Guru's guidance works for a mindful living. All those different diet plans if done in way they're meant to with proper medical advice will work. This all is possible when you make it work. On it's own, nothing works!
