To have a clear mind and a clear functionality, one requires to have a clearing in their mental space as well as their physical space. A clearing is an opportunity where one is able to clear the things and situations that have already happened and those that are running in the head as thoughts bothering you – either good or bad. Clearing is about putting the thoughts of the past in the past, where they belong.

One way to get a clearing is by writing in the present becoming fully present about what happened and what meaning I created about it in my head, and how I felt about it. Initially this may not come naturally for us to write about our own thoughts and feelings for we are not trained to observe them as these emotions come, and that we have always let them run us by being in the background. But, with daily practice one is able to write and express clearly about personal and an internal experience, and more importantly one is able to be with it.
In this moment one is able to let go of all their biases, opinions and concerns that have been smothering them. In today’s world there is an information overload everywhere. Even for as banal thing as choosing a chocolate in a departmental store, there are a ton available, in multiple flavours, with a detailed information of the calories, nutritional values, allergic advices etc. etc. etc. This seemingly small information may bother you. And, if this is not the one, sure there are a plenty others available everywhere. Most of the times it is these kinds of simple information overload that bothers us. Clearing in times like this, and in this space becomes very important. It is a cathartic process. Just like clearing the wardrobe once in eight months can be a daunting and a painful process but maintaining it then onward each day can actually be not only easier but also joyous and therapeutic. The same goes with clearing.

An activity of sparing about a few minutes to write and clear at the beginning of each day becomes extraordinarily necessary – especially in today’s day and age. One will be able to be at ease and conduct themselves clearly and efficiently. One is able to then generate alacrity, aliveness, expression and to generate curiosity in life. One, in this state of clearing, is complete.
