The Road Less Travelled

Which path to take? Sharad is confronted with this question. On one side there is consumerism and commercial 'art', on the other side, it's the quest to seek the "truth'. Intellectually it is fine to think about both these paths but when it comes to execution in real life there one cannot be in both boats at the same time. As quoted by Howard Zinn, " You cannot be neutral on a moving train".

The next recording of Maayi starts with the acknowledgement and praise of the goddess of learning, 'Saraswati'. Maayi says, "Practice is not only about your singing and music, but it is also a practice of your patience and dedication too". While listening to this recording on his bike Sharad comes to a cross-road both literally and metaphorically. The recording continues, "As this is a very long and difficult journey. I have seen many good people getting exhausted and quitting in the middle of this journey. You will come across hundreds and thousands of situation when you want to quit it all, but you must not give up. One who can have control on mind, for that person no situation can distract from the path."

At this point, Sharad makes his choice, he turns his bike to avoid the road less travelled.
