He takes a cold-water bath, meditates for a couple of hours, then he scrubs the floor in the monastery. He eats only one meal a day
There is a Buddhist monk, he wakes up at 4 AM. Be it summer or winter, he continues on his routine. He takes a cold-water bath, meditates for a couple of hours, then he scrubs the floor in the monastery. He eats only one meal a day - before noon, and he allows himself to have about two cups of tea - once in the morning and once in the evening. He spends most of his day in silence either meditating or reading spiritual scriptures. But, in his silence, there is only silence. His mind is not muddled with thoughts. There is a great comfort in experiencing emptiness.
