How big is the Universe? When/where it starts and when/where it ends. All questions like these are our childhood curiosity. When we grow up, we have answers to all the questions. Then, we use the crutches of religion, mythology or half-baked science to conclude it for ourselves.
The most important question is why do we question in a particular way? Start and end are for movies. Universe and life are not part of this framework of questions. We not only ask questions coming from existing templates, but we also expect to fit the answers in a mould. The basis for all the stories related to the beginning of the Universe and life are these templates. Once we make our minds and believe a particular approach, we find evidence to justify that narrative. We force-fit rituals and traditions to satisfy ourselves and then ensure it's carried on to the generations to come.
When we don't have answers, we settle with a lie.
