What is ...is what is

Yesterday's post was about how I saved an insect. And then, in few moments a Chameleon swallowed it and that life was no more. So many things happen in life. So many things happen to us in life. For the things which are good as per our worldview, we do not complain. But, the not so good things bother us. Some things in life are the way they are. We know that these things will not change. The natural set-up in which we are born we mostly accept it as nature. The Sunset in the evening, the rains fall only in the rainy season, the water flows downstream and the apple always falls down.

When things happen in life, they become past. We intellectually know that past cannot be changed. The insect swallowed by the Chameleon is gone. It cannot be brought back. I may think what would have happened if I helped the insect cross the footpath and thus save it from other animals. This thinking about the past in 'if this then that' does not matter in reality. The reality is in the present moment. It is in the right now. This very moment you are looking at the screen and reading this is real. All other thoughts about what if, and what if not is just a thought. It can engage you, make you suffer and also distract you from getting into the present moment.

What is, is. It just is the way it is. Nothing right or wrong about it. Nothing good or bad about it. It is just so. You may not like it, but that has little impact on the 'What is". Acceptance of "what is" is access to living in present. It is access to live life right here, right now
