Zen Koan

A Koan is a Zen riddle. Often the riddle is posed by the master to his disciple/ follower/ student. The student attempts to solve this, and it is almost often that one who discovers the answers, not through their intellectual prowess but an intuitive one.

The Koan that we look for our today's daily writings was posed by Zen master Haryo to his Monk disciple, and it goes as follows.

A monk asked Master Haryo, “What is the way?”

Haryo said, “An open-eyed man falling into the well.”

...and so it goes with one's ikigai.
